So it doesn’t look like the AP devs are going to allow the merge. Their biggest problems are, what they say, cluttering the telemetry system and your closed Lua scripts.
How will this affect you moving forward? I’m happy with the C&T telemetry system. But at the same time I don’t want to have to reflash my Pixhawk everytime OpenTX releases a new upgrade.
We are committed to getting the improvements we’ve made to the FrSky Telemetry protocol on the Pixhawk to the official ArduPilot firmware. The pull request will get approved once we get everyone on board. Our solution is state of the art and remains the best way to transmit the information from the Pixhawk to the Taranis. It’s unfortunate, however, that this is taking longer than it should…
